Interact, an acronym for International Action, was launched by the R.I. in 1962.
Eligible for Interact Club membership are students at the secondary school or university level or young people between the age of 14 to 18
As of July 1989, about 122,254 Interactors from 5,557 Interact Clubs over the world shared a fellowship dedicated to service and international understanding. Their concern for world welfare is shown through school, community and international service projects.
Each club is sponsored by a local Rotary Club. Two-way exchange between the Rotary and Interact Club is emphasized and is found to be mutually beneficial. The heart of Interact Club is it's projects. Encouraged by goals, possible projects and friendly members, the individual Interactor soon learns other basics of Interact-ing.
